FLICS Proudly Opens Nominations for the
2022 California On Location Awards
The FILM LIAISONS IN CALIFORNIA, STATEWIDE (FLICS) announces the opening of nominations for the 27th CALIFORNIA ON LOCATION AWARDS (COLA) saluting location managers, scouts, and public employees for professional excellence while working on location.
Please submit your nominations for the following categories:
Location Manager of the Year – Studio Feature
Location Manager of the Year – Independent Feature
Location Manager of the Year – Television, 1-hour
Location Manager of the Year – Television, ½ hour
Location Manager of the Year – Commercial
Location Manager of the Year – Reality TV
Location Manager of the Year – Music Videos
Location Manager of the Year – Stills
Location Team of the Year – Studio Feature
Location Team of the Year – Independent Feature
Location Team of the Year – Television, 1 hour
Location Team of the year – Television, ½ hour
Location Team of the Year – Commercial
Public Employee of the Year – Federal, State, County and City
Our Venue this Year
We look forward to returning to the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City in 2022 for an in person event.
We want your nominations for outstanding work by a Location Manager, Public Employee, or a Location Team. In order to qualify, the production must have shot at least in part between the dates of July 01, 2021 to June 30, 2022. You must complete all questions on the nomination form, and we ask that you provide a detailed description of the nominee’s exemplary work. You may attach photos and video URLs to your nomination. The deadline for nominations is July 31, 2022.
Things to keep in mind
Location Manager of the Year categories – These award categories are only open to the lead Location Manager of the production. (Key Assistant Location Managers or Assistants are not eligible for the awards for “Location Manager of the Year”
Location Team of the Year categories – Please include the names of the entire team and their positions. If you do not have the complete team list, include as many names as you can. Make sure you have provided the contact information for the Location Manager.
Word Count: Descriptions of a nominee’s work (challenges met, hurdles leapt over, victories won) must be from 100 to 350 words in length, or they will be returned for completion. We want to read about the accomplishments which caught your admiration and warrant this honor.
Please note: Elected officials and FLICS members are NOT eligible to be nominated.
